The LONGER Nano Duo features a built-in camera system that helps users preview the engraving area and position designs more accurately before starting a project.

To use the camera function in LightBurn, the camera needs to be calibrated and aligned first. Proper calibration ensures that the design position in LightBurn matches the actual engraving position on the material.

This guide explains how to complete the Nano Duo camera calibration and alignment process in LightBurn.

1. Focus the Nano Duo Before Calibration

Before starting camera calibration, make sure the Nano Duo is correctly focused.

Incorrect focus may cause a difference between the design size shown in LightBurn and the actual engraved result. The final engraving may appear larger or smaller than expected. Complete the focusing process first, then continue with camera calibration.

2. Camera Calibration

Open LightBurn and select "Calibrate Camera Lens" in laser tools.

Note: A 90-degree rotation of the image is normal and does not affect camera calibration. Position the calibration card according to the diagram; the orientation of the device does not matter.

Until the interface as shown and click "Align Camera", and the lens calibration is completed.

Place the wooden board, adjust the focus, set the engraving parameters, click "Frame" to confirm the engraving range is within the wooden board, and then click Engraving, and click "Next" after engraving.

Note: When carving thick materials like wood, refocusing is required.

When you have marked all four corners, click "Next" to continue.

Conclusion

Calibrating and aligning the Nano Duo camera in LightBurn is an important step for accurate laser engraving positioning. A properly configured camera helps match the digital design with the actual working area, improving engraving accuracy and reducing positioning errors.

By following the calibration and alignment steps carefully, users can make better use of the Nano Duo camera system and achieve a smoother engraving workflow.
