The LONGER LaserBurn App provides a convenient way to control and manage the LONGER B1 laser engraver from your smartphone. After connecting the B1 with the app, users can prepare engraving files, adjust processing settings, control the laser module, and monitor engraving progress remotely.

This guide introduces the main functions of the LaserBurn App and explains how to use each section for daily engraving and cutting projects.

LaserBurn App Overview

After a successful connection, the LaserBurn App turns your smartphone into a control and processing tool for the LONGER B1. With the app, you can:

  • Move the laser module within the working area.
  • Turn the laser beam on or off.
  • Set the homing position.

The app home screen displays important information, including the current X/Y coordinates and laser power value (S value). The bottom menu provides access to different functions.

1. Creation

It allows you to process an existomg image or create new image file, and slicing for engraving, exactly as you do when using desktop Lightburn, in an easy and comfortable way from your smartphone. The section “material” contains some sample images, to use as test engraving or test cutting; also, “text” will allow you to create some personalized messages, and it’s also possible build some QRcodes directly from app.

A. Import an image or create your personalized image file directly in app.

B. In the next step you can edit the image by manually setting brightness, contrast and other effects, including the dimensions and positions.

C. In the last step you can configure file engraving speed, laser power, M3/M4 mode and more, as fill or line mode, air assist, and many other settings exactly as you usually do with Lightburn for laptop. Like for Lightburn, you can set different Layer settings in Laserburn app, in order to set different parameters for each image to engrave.

D. After finishing adjusting the parameters, you can slice and upload it via WiFi to the B1 microSD. After B1 has received it successfully, you will enter the engraving page from which you can monitor the progress of the processing status.

2. Control

The Control section allows you to operate the laser module directly from your smartphone. You can:

  • Move the laser head within the working area.
  • Adjust movement speed and step distance.
  • Return the machine to the home position.
  • Set a new homing position.
  • Turn the laser beam on or off.

This function makes machine positioning and preparation easier before engraving.

3. Material

The Material section provides sample graphics for testing engraving and cutting parameters on different materials. After selecting a test image:

  1. Choose the required material test file.
  2. Adjust engraving settings in the Creation section.
  3. Run the test to find suitable speed and power parameters.

These test results can help you select better settings for future projects.

4. Files

The list of files on the microSD card inserted inside Longer B1 is shown, and you can select a file to engrave again.

5. History

This is the record of the files engraved or cut previously. You can monitor which files you engraved or cut already, and how many times you processed them already.
