To ensure that the Longer ePrint UV printer operates properly and delivers stable printing performance, please follow the steps below to complete device installation, printing platform setup, power-on preparation, and the first print setup.
Before installation, make sure the installation environment meets the requirements and carefully read each step of the instructions.
1. Place the Machine
Place the Longer ePrint on a flat and stable desktop to ensure the machine remains steady during operation. Please leave enough space around the machine for proper operation, heat dissipation, and future maintenance:
- Front and rear: Reserve approximately 330 mm of space.
- Left and right sides: Reserve approximately 100 mm of space.
2. Remove Transportation Protection Materials
- Remove the no-residue adhesive tape from the front and rear of the machine.
- Open the front cover and remove the internal protective foam and accessory box.
- Use scissors to cut off the cable ties securing the X-axis timing belt.
Make sure all transportation protection materials have been removed before proceeding with the next installation steps.
3. Install the Printing Platform
The ePrint is equipped with printing platforms in different sizes. Users can select the appropriate platform according to their printing size requirements. When installing the platform, pay attention to the installation direction:
- The contact plate must be positioned on the left-side mounting bracket.
3.1 Install the Large Printing Platform
When the printed image size is within 300 mm × 420 mm, the large printing platform can be used.
Installation Steps:
- Place the large printing platform correctly onto the platform base.
- Make sure the edges of the left and right mounting brackets are aligned with the upper edge of the platform base.
- Turn the two thumb screws on the front of the platform base counterclockwise to secure the platform.

Notes:
- Do not hit or bend the metal springs on the platform base. Deformation of the springs may cause poor platform contact.
- The large printing platform supports substrates with a maximum height of 60 mm.
- Before replacing the platform or installing other accessories, turn off the ePrint power to avoid potential short circuits.
3.2 Install the Small Printing Platform
When the printed image size is within 300 mm × 75 mm, the small printing platform can be used.
Installation Steps:
- Place the small printing platform in the correct direction.
- Make sure the contact plate is positioned on the left-side mounting bracket.
- When the edges of the left and right mounting brackets are aligned with the upper edge of the platform base, turn the two thumb screws on the front of the platform base counterclockwise to secure the platform.
Notes:
- Do not hit or bend the metal springs on the platform base. Deformation of the springs may cause poor platform contact.
- The small printing platform supports substrates with a maximum height of 60 mm.
- Before replacing the platform or installing other accessories, turn off the ePrint power to avoid potential short circuits.
4. Power-On Preparation
4.1 Connect the Power Supply
- Connect the power adapter.
- Toggle the power switch.
- When the indicator light on the power switch turns on, the machine has started successfully.
4.2 Machine Initialization
After the Longer ePrint is powered on, the machine will automatically perform initialization:
- The printhead automatically returns to the right-side home position.
- The printing platform automatically returns to the rear and downward home positions.
After initialization is complete, the X, Y, and Z axes and the capping motor will enter the locked state. At this time, gently push the printing platform and printhead to confirm that they are locked.
4.3 Install Ink Cartridges
Install the corresponding ink cartridges according to the color labels on the ePrint ink cartridges.
During ink installation, please pay attention to the following:
- Check the ink level to avoid overfilling and ink overflow.
- When filling ink, do not make the ink inlet opening too small, as this may cause ink splashing.
5. First-Time Printing
After completing machine installation and ink cartridge installation, you can perform the first print test.
Operation Steps:
- Download and install the required printing software.
- Connect the Longer ePrint UV printer.
- Select the corresponding printing mode according to the installed ink configuration.
- Perform a test print to confirm the machine’s operating status.
If you connect the device through the Longer Studio mobile app, please refer to the corresponding connection guide to complete the device connection.
Conclusion
After completing the steps above, the Longer ePrint will be ready for normal printing.
Proper machine installation, correct platform selection, and following the required procedures for first-time power-on and ink installation can help ensure stable operation and maintain consistent print quality.
