The 400mm x 400mm Honeycomb "Burn Board" was sized to match my 400mm x 400mm Longer Ray5 10W unit. It is very well constructed and has high contrast measurements engraved on the rails. There is a metal sheet that lays under the Honeycomb Frame. (Peel off the protective plastic on the sheet metal before use.) The kit also includes a bunch of automotive style "T" inserts/plastic spacers that I used on the bottom side of the frame to set it slightly above the metal bottom sheet. I kept the nicely done foam/carboard shipping box it came in for storage. The choice is between using this or a sacrificial burn board. The Honeycomb Frame/reflective sheet metal reduces burnmarks and scorching on the underside of the cut.

I love the 10watt longer laser. This is my first time laser engraving and it has been wonderful so far thanks to longer!

I have been using my Longer R5 10W Laser with the honeycomb base for etching on wood. I am new to the equipment but within 2 short weeks I have run 11 trials.

This protects the surface under the laser. So no need to worry about burning patterns into your desk or work bench top.
Would I recommend it? Yes.
