If your LONGER Nano Duo freezes on the LONGER logo during startup, the firmware may be incomplete or corrupted. In most cases, the issue can be resolved by reflashing the firmware with the official recovery tool.
This guide explains the firmware recovery process and the required settings step by step.
Before You Start
Prepare the following items before beginning:
- Nano Duo machine
- Windows computer
- Compatible USB cable
- flash_download_tool_3.9.5.exe
- firmware_grbl.bin
Important Notes
Before flashing the firmware:
- Do not disconnect the USB cable during the process.
- Do not turn off the machine while the firmware is being written.
- Make sure the correct COM port is selected.
- Verify all settings before starting.
Step 1: Prepare the Flash Tool and Firmware
- Open flash_download_tool_3.9.5.exe on your computer.
- Select ESP32-S3, then click OK to enter the main interface.
- Prepare the firmware file: firmware_grbl.bin


Step 2: Configure Firmware and Flash the Machine
After entering the homepage:
- Click the three dots in the middle.
- Find the prepared firmware and open it.
- Change the firmware to:
0x0 - Select the COM port corresponding to the machine's port number.
- Select
BAUD: 912600 - Click
ERASEand wait for the status to complete. - Click
STARTand wait for the status to displayFINISH. - Power off and restart the machine.
Expected Result
The firmware flashing completes successfully, and the machine restarts normally instead of remaining stuck on the LONGER logo.
Important Notes
- Wait patiently during both the ERASE and START processes.
- Do not disconnect cables or close the software during flashing.
- The process may take several minutes depending on the computer and connection stability.
- If the status does not display
FINISH, repeat the procedure carefully.
