just awesome, best printer for best price

I was expecting non perpendicular axis & a long setup, but it went smoothly, took around 30 minutes before I started printing. Small parts within 0.03mm. Only downside is the nozzle that gets clogged up fast. It's better to print parts one by one instead of pooling.

This is a fabulous printer at an unbeatable price.

Overall, this is a really great printer to start off with. Right out of the box it's easy to assemble for a DIY printer. You still have to put it together but that's great because it gives you some ownership on this cool new device. There is a very easy to follow, step by step YouTube video that shows you exactly how to put it together trouble-free. There is support on the website if you have any difficulty as well.
Once you get it put together you can print with it right away. It works right out of the box. My favorite part about this printer, however, is that there are so many easy upgrades you can do yourself. There are lots of parts you can find on Thingiverse that you can use to upgrade the feet so it's a little quieter, new fan ducts, bed adjustment knobs, etc. You can see references to those and other reviews here or on the internet. Just a little experience with electronics and some simple tools and you can upgrade this printer to a top-class printer.
The build volume is very good. The bed heats up quickly and evenly. The printhead heats up quickly and the temperature stays very even while you print.
I have mostly printed in PLA which is bioplastic and relatively easy to use. I have also used TPU to print flexible parts and figures.
This is a great model picture for the price.

About a year after I started using this printer the hotbed failed. If you have an older printer, you should check your connections to make sure they are not getting hot. The good news is that you can get a replacement from Longer AND that replacement is much more robust than the original. In fact, the Longer build quality is superior to many other printers out there. Before you buy an Ender, look at images of their motherboard and see the gauge of their wires and connector type. There are pictures of my failed connector and the Longer replacement.

More good news is that Longer now has a US-based warehouse. My new motherboard shipped across the country in 3 days.

If you are considering purchasing a 3D printer, keeping it working is important. Not only is this printer easy to upgrade with parts you can print yourself but you can get quality support and replacement parts from the manufacturer. Instead of replacing models of printers, they are just making the ones they produce better. A year after I bought it, I have a much better printer than I started with!
